The Sigma TC-1401 is a high standard 1.4x tele-converter that is designed specifically for Sigma's Global Vision product lines. By mounting it in between a telephoto lens and a camera, the offered magnification of focal length is increased by 1.4 times. The Tele Converter incorporates SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements that offer excellent aberration correction. It is unusual for a lens accessory to use one of the best glass materials, yet this is because Sigma is seeking for the best possible image quality, and it is necessary to meet the "SGV" standards. The dust and splash proof construction ensure this tele-converter is suitable for professionals. It is compact and lightweight and provides an easy extension of focal range.
